The Italian community in Canada has earned a deserved reputation for being well integrated, hard-working and successful. It is also recognized for maintaining its rich cultural traditions and taking great pride in its heritage.
While at one time many Italian-Canadians made their mark in the construction sector, today you will find high-profile Italians in virtually every walk of life… politics, media, business, sport, music, movies and restaurants.
With a high concentration of successful Canadians of Italian descent in and around the GTA (specifically Vaughan), the need for an exclusive club of like-minded individuals with a shared heritage had never been greater.
That dream has now crystallized with the birth of the Western Point Social Club. Founded as a non-profit organization on April 12th, 2010, Western Point is an exclusive club, with limited memberships open to males of Italian heritage and their spouses.
It is a social club with a unique flavour where social, athletic, cultural and educational events take place.
Our members’ list today includes the crème de la crème of Italian business, most of them very active in the community. Many of the current members visit the Club every day, often bringing their families, friends and business partners as guests to enjoy a home cooked meal together.
Business and pleasure mix comfortably in the Club’s relaxed setting, where conversation flows easily over traditional Italian food accompanied by fine wine.
